autohome airtop small (roof tent)

After three wonderful years full of adventure, we are starting a new chapter. Unfortunately, this means we will have to say goodbye to our second home. This roof tent has always kept us dry through every season and will continue to do so for many years to come!
The Airtop works with 4 gas struts that push the tent up by themselves when opening it. This means the tent is unfolded and ready to use in 1 minute. All your sleeping gear (pillows, sleeping bags or blankets, some clothes) and the ladder can easily remain in the tent, even when you close it. That way, you do not have to keep carrying things in and out of your car.
There is also a thick anti-condensation mat underneath the mattress. Should some water get in during a heavy storm, your mattress will not be lying in it and will not start to mould!
A keder rail has been fitted on the (passenger) side to attach a tarp. If desired, you can have our tarp with it (although it has already seen its best days).
This version is equipped with the metal / aluminium locking mechanism, which is robust and safe. The cheap (current) versions have rubber straps that quickly stretch or crack after a few (years) due to drying out.
The purchase price was €2630 at the end of 2022. This included a 10% discount. The purchase invoice can be viewed during the viewing.
